Drop-in class for all levels, no registration required.

A Typical Class

A typical class starts with gradually increasing speed or resistance to warm up your body. During class, body positions may vary with the “drill” or activity performed, such as seated with hands resting comfortably on the handlebars, and standing while pedaling with hands lightly on the handlebars. Resistance and speed will vary as we work on endurance, strength, and speed in both aerobic and anaerobic drills: climbs, sprints, rolling hills, power intervals, and more! Class ends with a cool down and stretching.

Tips & Preparation

  • New to class? Arrive at least 5 minutes early so our instructor can help set up your bike for a proper fit.
  • Please let the instructor know if you are recovering from an injury so she or he can offer modifications
  • No bike riding experience needed
  • You control the intensity

Equipment, Attire, & What to Bring

  • Come to class dressed and ready to move your body
  • Water, towel
  • Comfortable, proper-fitting gym shoes or bike shoes with SPD cleats
  • Wear functional workout clothing made of breathable material

As with any form of exercise, increased strength and performance increases confidence. This is even more true for kickboxing, since learning a form of self defense proves that you can hold your own, giving you a well-deserved confidence boost. Additionally, a rigorous kickboxing session releases endorphins, natural mood boosters that will also improve your self-esteem.

Blasts Fat, Fast

It’s an incredibly efficient workout. Kickboxing alone can burn about 750 calories in an hour.  When you then add in jump rope and conditioning drills, and you could burn anywhere from 750 to 900 calories in an hour.

While you burn calories, you’ll also be speeding up your metabolism and toning your entire body. The benefit of kickboxing is that it is a high-intensity, full-body cardio workout, which is perfect if your aim is to lose weight and get fit.

Hybrid Athletic Club offers over 15 free classes each week to keep you challenged, motivated, and progressing through your goals.  We have designed our boot camps to accommodate people of all skill and ability levels.

Here at Hybrid we work hard and play hard.  Most of all, YOU and your goals are our priority.  Hybrid is a gym for everyone.  We strongly believe that the people who walk through our doors are part of our family.  No matter what your goals are, we can help get you there with the support from our trainers, dietitians, and coaches.  There isn’t a goal to big or a task we can’t tackle together. It won’t be easy, but it will always be worth it.
